2027 Canada Camps & Short-Term Study
Choose the operating model that fits the student.
We distinguish JStay's directly managed family-style one-month camp, age-appropriate programs from local education providers and short-term study in regular Canadian schools.

Start with who runs the program and who supports daily life.
A camp managed directly by JStay and a fixed program delivered by a local provider offer different experiences and levels of care. We compare those two models first, then select by age and purpose.
JStay direct
Small-group four weeks with ESL, local life, accommodation and guardianship
Provider-linked
Established teaching, activities and international settings selected by age
Regular-school study
A deeper experience in real public or private-school classes
Two ways to experience a Canadian camp in 2027
Choose between JStay's small-group family-style one-month program, where we manage accommodation and daily care directly, or a provider-led program selected from established local education organizations.
JStay Family-Style One-Month Camp
Learn English in the morning, experience Vancouver in the afternoon and live the Canadian everyday in a closely supported four-week program.
- Upper-elementary to middle school
- A trial before long-term study
- Students needing close family-style care
JStay directly connects accommodation, guardianship, daily care and activities in one program.
Places are limited and shared-living expectations apply, so availability and fit are reviewed first.
Provider-Linked Camps
JStay compares programs from ILSC, IH, Tamwood, VanWest and VGC around age, curriculum, international mix and care requirements.
- Established provider curriculum
- Broader international student mix
- More choices by age and duration
Students can use the provider's established teaching, activities, facilities and international-program experience.
Schedules are fixed, while accommodation, commuting and guardianship requirements vary by provider.

Short-term study in a regular Canadian school
This is a deeper option than a seasonal camp, giving students direct experience of classes and daily life in a Canadian school. JStay draws on repeated experience arranging three-month placements through Delta School District when guiding families through school and accommodation choices.
Eligible grades, duration and school placement depend on current district or school policies, intake timing and capacity. Availability is confirmed after consultation.

07 · FAQ
FAQ
How do JStay direct and provider-linked camps differ?
In the direct program, JStay connects accommodation, guardianship, daily care and activities throughout four weeks. In a provider-linked camp, the education organization delivers classes and activities while JStay supports program selection, registration and agreed local care.
What does the JStay one-month camp cost?
The 2027 four-week Full Care Program is CAD $5,500. It includes accommodation and meals, practical English, Vancouver activities, daily-life and guardian care, local transportation, airport pickup and drop-off, hospital accompaniment when needed and regular parent reports. Round-trip airfare, travel insurance, personal spending and selected optional special activities are separate.
How many students are accepted?
Enrollment is limited to the first six students per session.
Which providers suit each age group?
We first compare ILSC and IH for elementary to lower-middle students, and Tamwood and VanWest for middle and high school. VGC Junior is presented as an adult-accompanied reference option.
How are camps and short-term study different?
Camps centre on English, activities and cultural experience. Short-term study places the student in regular classes and daily school life at a Canadian public or private school.
Are the 2027 provider programs confirmed?
Dates, fees, eligible ages and inclusions are finalized after each provider publishes its official 2027 offer. Current comparisons use prior formats and the character of each program.
Can a beginner participate?
Some programs welcome beginners, but not every camp or school setting is suitable. We review both teaching and daily support.
How is accommodation arranged?
We compare provider package homestay and, when suitable and available, JStay House around age, commuting and required care.
Do parents receive updates?
Parent reports are included in the JStay direct program. Provider-linked students receive updates when JStay local care is part of the agreed service.
