JSTAY INTEGRATED CARE

Accommodation, school life and guardianship are not separate steps.

JStay House students do not have to reapply for each layer of local support. One local team understands the student continuously and stays accountable from beginning to end. That is the difference of JStay integrated care.

OUR TRUST PLEDGE

We will not lose trust through vague responsibilities.

We explain from the beginning what is included and who is responsible. Students should be able to stay, feel secure and grow, while parents and the local team build mutual trust through honest communication. Close, seamless, trust-based care is why JStay exists.

JStay House is our close-care, small-group homestay with integrated guardianship, where up to five students share a home with clear routines, consistent school support and attentive care for emotional adjustment.

Standards we set
before making promises.

Our first JStay House, now in preparation, will be introduced with current photographs and confirmed details. As new houses are added, each one will have its own photos, room and bathroom configuration, key facilities, school travel information and availability after review against JStay's operating standards.

01

Live-in local care

A local operator lives in the residence and follows arrivals, wellbeing, routines and urgent situations closely.

02

Five students or fewer

We prioritize a scale where every student can be known, not simply a house filled to capacity.

03

Walk-to-school houses

A safe walking distance to school is a core house-selection requirement. The actual route and estimated time are shown for each house.

04

Guardianship included

Formal guardian or custodian responsibilities, school communication and core administration are integrated into the residence service.

05

Stable life and independence

Private rooms, meals and study space support stability, while students practise organization, time management and responsible choices.

06

Monthly formal report

One formal report is shared each month, with additional reports when needed. KakaoTalk and email remain open for ongoing communication.

07

Medical and Korean-language care

JStay accompanies first visits, emergencies and specialist care when support is important. When available, we arrange care with a Korean physician or another Korean-speaking provider. Minor symptoms and simple follow-ups build independent care skills.

08

Monthly shared activities

At least one shared activity each month gives students space to recharge, interact and build healthier relationships.

Not a rigid timetable.
A steady daily rhythm.

The schedule adapts to age and school commitments, while meals, arrival checks, study, rest and sleep follow a dependable routine.

Wake and breakfast

Wellbeing check, breakfast and preparation for school.

Walk to school

Materials and key dates checked before leaving by the verified walking route.

Arrival check

Arrival, snack, rest and a check-in about the school day.

Study and activities

Homework, activities, exercise and personal time.

Dinner together

A shared meal and a look ahead to the next day.

Wind-down

Shared-space reset, less screen time and preparation for sleep.

Times are a weekday example and vary by age, school and extracurricular schedule.

At least once a month,
time to recharge and reconnect.

We plan and lead at least one shared activity each month so life does not become only house and school. It is time to talk naturally, understand one another, release small tensions and experience more of life in Canada.

01

Recharge

Parks, trails, picnics and light outdoor activity create breathing room from daily routines.

02

Interact

Sports, board games, cooking and cooperative activities make conversation and connection easier.

03

Experience Canada

Libraries, museums, community events and seasonal programs expand local cultural experience.

04

Reflect together

Students share what felt good or difficult and use that understanding in daily life together.

Planning, leading and accompanying at least one activity each month is a core JStay operating commitment. Actual expenses such as admission, transportation, outside meals, materials or equipment rental are separate and are shared with parents in advance.

Not constant reporting.
Clear updates that catch important change.

We provide one formal report each month and additional reporting when needed. KakaoTalk and email remain open for ongoing questions, while important matters are shared immediately.

What families
usually ask first.

Does a local operator live in the same house?

Yes. JStay House is based on live-in local care. The exact arrangement and emergency contact process are explained in writing before placement.

Does every student have a private room?

Private rooms are prioritized. If a shared room is proposed because of the property or program, placement is made only with prior student and parent agreement.

Is formal guardianship included?

Yes. For JStay House residents, guardian or custodian responsibilities, school communication, registration and core district administration are integrated rather than sold as a separate product. Third-party notarization or document fees, if any, are passed through at cost.

How do students get to school?

A safe walking distance to school is a core JStay House requirement. The actual walking route and estimated time are confirmed for each house before placement. Illness, severe weather or special schedules are handled case by case.

What happens if a student needs medical care?

Emergencies are handled through the local emergency system first, with immediate parent contact. JStay accompanies the student for a first visit, emergency or specialist appointment when medical history and clear understanding are important. When reasonably available, that support includes checking and booking care with a Korean physician or another provider able to consult in Korean. We also help the student and parents understand the assessment and next steps. After the first visit, minor symptoms or simple follow-ups are handled more independently, with appointment, route and follow-up support from JStay. No separate accompaniment fee is added for JStay attendance or for checking and booking Korean-language care. Treatment, prescriptions, tests, ambulance and transportation remain third-party costs.

Can I use only one of these services?

For JStay House residents, accommodation, care, guardianship, school coordination, necessary medical accompaniment and, when available, care with a Korean physician or another Korean-speaking provider are intentionally kept as one service. Guardian-only or other standalone local support can be scoped separately for non-resident students.

Is airport transportation included?

Basic transportation to and from Vancouver International Airport for move-in, move-out and Korea travel during scheduled school breaks identified in the residence agreement is included in JStay House care. The agreement confirms the included frequency and time windows. Additional trips beyond the agreement, other airports, long-distance or special transportation and extended waiting after flight changes may be separate.

Do you check schoolwork?

We provide basic checks on assignment progress, study rhythm and classroom or school adjustment, with practical coaching where needed. Subject-specific tutoring, test preparation and regular private lessons are separate services.

Do students take part in shared activities?

Yes. We plan and lead at least one shared activity each month. Walks, hikes, sports, picnics, local events, cultural visits and cooking together support healthy interaction and a change of pace. Actual activity expenses, such as admission, transportation, meals, materials or equipment rental, are separate and are explained to parents in advance.

How much does it cost?

The residence quotation combines accommodation, core meals, daily care, guardianship, school coordination, necessary medical accompaniment and, when available, support arranging care with a Korean physician or another Korean-speaking provider. Pricing varies by duration, room type and school.

Let's first confirm
whether the environment fits your student.

Share the student's grade, preferred area or school, duration, room preference and support needs. We will explain availability and the exact service scope.
